Peter is a realist by nature
but his desire is to do more than
just mechanically reproduce a scene.
His use of light, composition
and particularly content,
by way of what some call
"intrusions in the landscape",
take his paintings beyond the photograph
in respect of portraying the
soul and and mystery of rural South Africa.
